At Adapted Designs, our priority is ensuring the highest quality and craftsmanship in every piece of jewelry we create. Since each item is custom-made from repurposed silverware, every piece is unique. Below is our policy regarding returns and refunds.


1. Eligibility for Returns or Refunds

  • We only accept returns or issue refunds for items that arrive damaged or defective.
  • We do not accept returns or offer refunds for any other reasons (e.g., change of mind, sizing issues, or personal taste).

2. Return Process

  1. Inspection Upon Delivery

    • Please inspect your item upon receipt. If you believe it to be damaged or defective, contact us immediately at info@adapteddesigns.co.uk.
    • We may request photos or additional information to evaluate the damage or defect.
  2. Timeframe

    • You must notify us of any damage or defects within 7 days of receiving your item to be eligible for a return or refund.
    • Any requests received after this timeframe may not be honored.
  3. Return Authorization

    • If we determine the product is indeed damaged or defective, we will issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and provide instructions on how to return your item.
    • Please do not return items without first contacting us for an RMA number.

3. Condition of Returned Items

  • Returned items must be in their original packaging, along with any accompanying documentation or accessories (where applicable).
  • If possible, use secure and protective packaging to prevent further damage during transit.

4. Refunds and Processing

  1. Inspection
    • Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
  2. Refund Method
    • If approved, we will process your refund to the original payment method used when making the purchase.
  3. Processing Time
    • Please allow 5–7 business days for the refund to appear on your statement, depending on your bank or credit card provider.

5. Shipping Costs

  • If the return is approved due to damage or defect, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide a prepaid shipping label.
  • We are not responsible for any additional costs if you choose a premium or expedited shipping method for returning the item.
  • Any import duties, taxes, or customs fees for international orders are non-refundable.

6. Custom or Personalized Items

  • Most of our pieces are custom-made or personalized. We do not accept returns or offer refunds on custom items unless they arrive damaged or defective.
  • If a custom or personalized product is damaged or defective, the same return process outlined above applies.

7. Exchanges

  • Because each piece is uniquely crafted, we generally do not offer direct exchanges.
  • If your item arrives damaged or defective, we will work with you to either repair, replace, or refund your item, as appropriate.
